PowerPoint in APA format due Monday, April 23rd in class.
Please print out a copy of your Power Point presentation and bring it with you to class on Monday, April 23rd. Each student must be prepared to discuss the highlights of their project in class.
Directions: For a grade (worth 200 points), you are expected to create a Power Point Presentation on a company you choose, must be approved by me first. A minimum of five references must be used and one of those references must be a business database provided by the SCF library. The Presentation must be referenced using APA format. NOTE: Please visit the Venice ARC writing center for help with APA formatting. I will offer a SCF Venice Library workshop on APA formatting and how to access business databases during the semester.
You may choose any company to research. The following must be included in the Power Point Presentation:
- Discuss the appropriate market structure, and why you choose to research the company.
- Discuss products/services offered by the company, and whether or not the demand for such would be considered elastic or inelastic based on the definitions for each.
- Discuss direct competitors.
- Discuss strengths and weaknesses.
- Discuss marketing techniques, and estimated costs of such.
- Discuss examples of fixed and variable costs.
- Discuss examples of fixed and variable inputs used in the production process.
- Discuss profits earned over the last five years. (NOTE: I suggest choosing a publicly traded company that provides this information on the web.)
- Discuss the future of the company, including future demand of goods/services.
NOTE: In-text citations must be used in the Power Point Presentation.
APA sample in-text citations
