Next week, I will cover Modules 28 and 29 regarding the money market, and borrowing and lending. For homework, due next Tuesday, November 17th, research and find current interest rates on both short-term interest rates (interest rates that mature within six months or less), and long-term interest rates (interest rates that mature over six months). Examples of such interest rates are money market accounts, certificates of deposits, savings accounts, car loans, and mortgages. Research the following interest rates from at least five commercial banks. One of the commercial banks must be an online commercial bank. Online commercial banks typically offer more competitive interest rates than traditional brick and mortar commercial banks. The website called bankrate.com is a good starting point. You may also research your own commercial bank as well.
